Symbian (company)

Symbian Ltd. is a software development and licensing company established in June 1998, headquartered in the UK. It is owned by Ericsson, Nokia, Matsushita (Panasonic), Motorola, Psion, Siemens and Sony Ericsson.

Much of its initial intellectual property came from the software arm of Psion.
