Sverdrup

The Sverdrup, named in honour of the pioneering oceanographers Harald and Otto Sverdrup[?] is an SI derived unit of volume transport, used almost exclusively in oceanography, to measure the volume of ocean currents. It is equivalent to 106m3/s.
