Superchunk

Superchunk is an indie rock band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. After a pair of well-received singles, Superchunk released Superchunk[?], a critically-lauded LP that failed to bring the band the superstardom that label heads had hoped they would be, in the wake of bands like Pearl Jam and Nirvana's success. In spite of the ensuing bidding war, Superchunk stayed on Merge Records[?] for their second, just as critically-lauded LP, No Pocky for Kitty[?], followed by a collection of singles, Tossing Seeds[?] and another well-reviewed LP, On the Mouth[?]. In spite of the loyal fanbase, Superchunk had failed to break into the mainstream. They continued touring and recording, appearing on Lollapoolaza[?] and backing a minor hit in "Hyper Enough" (from Here's Where the Strings Come[?]. In 1999, Superchunk released Come Pick Me Up[?].
