Stirling

Stirling is one of 32 unitary council regions in Scotland with a population of about 85,000. It borders onto East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Perth and Kinross and Argyll and Bute.

Stirling is also an ancient Scottish town (population about 40,000) which in 2002 was granted City status as part of Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee. It was the capital of Scotland.
