Stevie Case (Killcreek)

Stevana Case (born September 7, 1976) is a recognized figure in the video game industry. She gained repute for defeating John Romero in Quake and is noted for her pulchritude. She has held filled several roles in the industry, from level designer to "Cyberathlete" to COO[?].

While attending high school, Case sued the Unified School District no. 233 for banning the book Annie on My Mind[?] by Nancy Garden[?] from the school libraries. She won the case and was awarded the J. Phillip Immroth Intellectual Freedom Award[?] from the American Libraries Association[?].

Case picked the nickname "Killcreek[?]" from a regional rock band which she admires from her college hometown of Lawrence, Kansas. She also grew up near a creek named Kill Creek. She didn't intend for the nickname to stick, but it has.

Case is currently living with her sometime boyfriend, John Romero. They began dating on January 6, 1999, two years after they first met.

Case has worked for several video game developers. She is currently (December 2002) the COO of Monkeystone Games[?], a developer of games for handheld devices. Her boyfriend, John, is the Chief Executive Officer and Lead Programmer for the company.

Stevie was approached by Playboy to appear in a pictorial based on an interview she did in the LA Times[?]. She did the photo shoot in the Spring of 2000.
