Sterope

Note: Sterope is not the same person as Steropes, the Cyclops or Steropes, the daughter of Acastus and Astydameia.

In Greek mythology, Sterope was the daughter of Cepheus. She received a lock of Medusa's hair from Heracles to protect her hometown, Tegea[?] from attack.

Also, Sterope was one of the Pleiades and, by Ares, the mother of Oenomaus, King of Pisa.
