Spike Island

Spike Island is a small island, surrounded by the River Mersey, just off the coast of Runcorn, which is a small town to the south of Liverpool, UK.

It basically is made up of industrial wasteland, but was once the setting of a Stone Roses live musical performance, on May 27, 1990.


Spike Island is an area of central Bristol which lies between the Floating Harbour and the New Cut of the River Avon. Spike Island Artspace is a collective of artists' studios which is located in a former tea-packing factory in the area.
