Slochteren

Slochteren (population: 15,026) is a town in the northeastern Netherlands, in the province of Groningen. The municipality covers an area of 158.75 km2 (of which 5.73 km2 water).

The municipality of Slochteren also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Froombosch[?], Harkstede[?], Hellum[?], Kolham[?], Lageland[?], Luddeweer[?], Overschild[?], Scharmer[?], Schildwolde[?], Siddeburen[?], Steendam[?], Tjuchem[?], Woudbloem[?].
