Skelton, City of York

Skelton is a village in the unitary authority of the City of York, England, close to the River Ouse, north west of York, Yorkshire and west of Haxby.

Skelton was in the Ancient Forest of Galtres. St. Giles Church dates from the 13th century, Skelton Manor[?] from the 16th century, and Skelton Hall[?] from 1824. Skelton was made a Conservation Area in 1973.
