Sint-Niklaas is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Sint-Niklaas proper and the towns of Belsele[?], Nieuwkerken-Waas[?] and Sinaai[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Sint-Niklaas had a total population of 68,290 (33,288 males and 35,002 females). The total area is 83.69 km² which gives a population density of 815.99 inhabitants per km².
