Sint-Lievens-Houtem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Bavegem[?], Letterhoutem[?], Sint-Lievens-Houtem proper, Vlierzele[?] and Zonnegem[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Sint-Lievens-Houtem had a total population of 9,171 (4,474 males and 4,697 females). The total area is 27.72 km² which gives a population density of 330.84 inhabitants per km².
