Sherman Antitrust Act

The Sherman Antitrust Act, named for its author, Senator John Sherman of Ohio, is the principal antimonopoly law in United States business law[?]. It made illegal "Every contract, combination, in the form of trust, or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several states."
