Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman and nine others were convicted on October 1st, 1995 in New York. They were convicted of conspiring to bomb New York landmarks including the United Nations and FBI offices. They were also accused of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which resulted in six dead and more than one thousand injured.
