Seven Sages of Greece
The Seven Sages of Greece were seven fabled wise men who met at Delphi to dedicate their wise sayings to the god Apollo. The traditional list is:
- Solon of Athens
- Chilon of Sparta[?]
- Thales of Miletus
- Bias of Priene[?]
- Cleobulus of Lindos[?]
- Pittacus of Mitylene[?]
- Periander of Corinth[?]
Some authorities add Myson of Chen[?] instead of Periander.
