Serpico

Serpico is a 1973 film which tells the true story of a New York City policeman who turned in his fellow policemen for corruption and how his comrades turned against him. It stars Al Pacino, John Randolph[?] and Jack Kehoe[?].

The movie was adapted by Waldo Salt[?] and Norman Wexler[?] from the book by Peter Maas[?]. It was directed by Sidney Lumet[?].

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Al Pacino) and Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium.

Serpico was made into a 1976 television series starring David Birney[?].
