Samland

Samland or, in Latin, Sambia, in Prussia is at the Baltic Sea coast near Königsberg, since 1945 known as Oblast Kaliningrad.

For thousands of years amber has been found at the Samland coast and an Amber Road trade route has led from Prussia's "first city" of Truso to the Black Sea and further west.
