Safety Last

Safety Last is a 1923 comedy film in which a young store clerk convinces his boss to pay $1000 for anyone who will climb the face of the store building. But when the "human fly" fails to show, the clerk has to climb it himself. It stars Harold Lloyd, Mildred Davis[?], Bill Strothers[?], Noah Young[?] and Westcott Clarke[?].

The movie was written by Jean C. Havez[?], Sam Taylor[?], H.M. Walker[?] and Tim Whelan[?]. It was directed by Fred C. Newmeyer[?] and Sam Taylor.

Lloyd did his own stunts in this film, including hanging from ledges, clocks, and windows, even though he only had two fingers on his left hand. The film has been deemed "culturally significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
