Société Anonyme is the
French equivalent to a
corporation; the equivalent in
Spanish speaking countries is
Sociedad Anónima, and in
Portugal,
Sociedade Anónima. This translates literally as 'anonymous society' and in Central America refers to the stricter corporate laws, that allow individuals to form legal corporations without revealing their identity, via the use of
bearer bonds.
