Ryan Philippe was born
September 10,
1974 in
New Castle, Delaware. He was spotted by an agent when he was a 17-year-old. He then began working extremely hard in
New York to get roles on T.V shows. Finally all the hard work paid off when he got a role in the hit
daytime drama One Day To live[?]. He played Billy Douglas, daytime television first
gay teenager. Afterwards he moved to
Los Angeles. He was living on his own for a while and he was really struggling with his work. When he had auditions he wouldn't know how to get there. He didn't have a car. Sometimes he would go skateboarding to auditions. One of the big time tickets he got by acting was his big time role as Sebastian in the hit movie
Cruel Intentions, which was based on the film
Dangerous Liaisons. His co-stars
Sarah Michelle Gellar and
Selma Blair make an excellent movie, but the one actress who gave Ryan the biggest ticket of his life was
Reese Witherspoon. They had met on Reese's 21st birthday party from there, their relationship escalated that on September of 1999 the couple tied the knot and later on the couple welcomed a big part of their family, her name Eva Elizabeth.
