Russulales: order of agarics[?] (Basidiomycota, Fungi). Contains genera Russula with often splitting gills due to sphaerocyst cells, and milk-cap Lactarius with lactiferous, gloeoplerous hyphae. There are also several related groups of secotioid fungi / gasteromycetes (see: puffballs), a polypore (see: aphyllophorales) genus: Bondarzewia, hydnoid Auriscalpium, agaricoid Lentinellus, and clavarioid Artomyces and Clavicorona. Basidiospores are typically ornamented with ridges and warts (amyloid[?] reticulum).
