RS/6000 or RISC System/6000 is IBM's current RISC-based Unix computer. The RS/6000, announced in 1990, replaced the RT-PC[?]. It runs the AIX operating system 3.x, 4.x. and 5.x. A wide range of models are available, the top end is currently called pSeries 690.
