Royal Radar Establishment

The Royal Radar Establishment (RRE), formerly the Teleccommunications Research Establishent[?] (TRE) moved to Malvern from Swanage and Christchurch in 1942 after it was decided it was too vulnerable to German commando raids. It split on June 2nd 2001 into two parts, a government body called DSTL - Defence Science and Technology Laboratory[?], and a company destined for privatisation, QinetiQ[?].
