Roland Kirk

Roland Kirk, 1935-1977 was a jazz musician who played many instruments, and also employed several novel techniques as a flautist. One technique which he developed was to sing or hum into the flute at the same time as playing. He also utilised circular breathing[?] to enable him to play apparently without breathing for extended periods. Another method he deployed was to play two or three instruments simultaneously, for example, two saxophones.
