Richard Wright

Richard Nathaniel Wright (September 4, 1908-November 28, 1960) was an American author.

Wright was born the son of a sharecropper, but he became an respected author, best known for his novels Black Boy[?] and Native Son.

In May of 1946 he traveled to France as a guest of the French government, where he was well received by French intellectuals.

Richard Wright died of a heart attack.


A different Richard Wright, also known as Rick Wright, is the keyboard player of Pink Floyd.
