Ribagorza is one of the historical Aragonese counties, collindant with the county of Sobrarbe[?] and the county of Pallars. Its territory was the valleys of the rivers Esera[?], Isabena[?], and Noguera Ribagorzana[?].
The historical capital was Benabarre. Nowadays Barbastro[?] have taken precedence as the main center of the area.
