Regio TriRhena

The region of Basel-Alsace-Baden (Dreiländereck[?] Switzerland-France-Germany) is called "Regio TriRhena" (sometimes also: "Regio TriRhenia"). TriRhena means "Three Rhines", but in this particular case, you could translate it with "the three regions that border (to) the Rrhine". Originally, it was a strategic union of the separate economic areas in that region with a council (http://www.regiotrirhena.org/) that was founded in 1995. But the expression is also widely used in the local press to describe the region of the Upper Rhine itself.
