Red Harvest
There have been at least three different and uncredited renditions of this book in film.
Per un pugno di dollari is a remake of Yojimbo (Akira Kurosawa).
Red Harvest is the story of a detective whose client is killed before they met. For reasons that the only the reader can guess, he takes the endeavor of cleaning the gangs filled citiy of Poisonville.
Alberto Bertolucci tried to bring the book to the screen. For some reason it didnīt happen. Probably he still owns the rights to make it.
