Since food is consumed raw, this means that most raw foodists tend to be vegan since animal products normally need to be cooked in order to be safe for consumption. Dairy products are pasteurized, but eggs need to be cooked to avoid salmonella, and meat needs to be cooked in order to avoid a whole host of parasites and diseases. However, there are raw foodists who are not vegetarian; they will consume raw meat and other animal products.
