Raclette

Raclette is a dish consumed in France and Switzerland, consisting of cheese melted onto potatoes, sliced meats, pickles and other vegetables. Raclette is made with a specific cheese, known simply as Raclette cheese; the cheese is heated either in front of a fire, or by a special machine, then scraped onto diners' plates (the term Raclette derives from the French racler, "to scrape".)
