Psionic phenomenon

Redirected from Psionic

Psionic Phenomena are powers of the mind that are usually under a person's conscious control such as telepathy, telekinesis, and prescience. Serious research has been done, at Duke University and in the old Soviet Union, but many projected psionic phenomena remain undemonstrated, see anomalous phenomenon.

Psionic powers are a staple of science fiction such as the Darkover novels of Marion Zimmer Bradley. Prescience plays a pivotal role in the Dune series of novels by Frank Herbert.

In comic books, psionic powers are common features with superheroes with the best examples in The X-Men with the leader, Charles Xavier and Jean Grey
