Proselytization

Redirected from Proselytisation

Proselytization is the attempt to win people to a particular cause, belief, or religion. At times the word has taken on a negative meaning by those who object to any attempt to convince others, and because of historical patterns of the use of force in word and action in the attempt to convert others. Forced conversion is a type of proselytization, but not the most common type.
