Potto

The name potto refers to several species of African primates in the genera perodicticus[?] and arctocebus[?]. They have a vestigial tail and index finger. The snout is pointed and the ears and eyes are large. The coat is dense, brown and wooly, and spiky protrusions from the spine come through the skin at the base of the neck. Pottos are tree-dwelling omnivores, and weigh about 3 pounds.
