Post-secondary education

Post-secondary education is a form of secondary education that is taken after first attending a secondary school, such as a high school. The purpose of a post-secondary education can be to receive vocational education and training or to prepare for a tertiary education. Post-secondary education in itself is not a form of either tertiary or higher education.

Examples of institutions that provide post-secondary education are community colleges in the United States and TAFEs in Australia.
