Pomp and Circumstance

The Pomp and Circumstance marches are a series of five marches composed by Edward Elgar (1857-1934).

The best known is the first in the series, which is the music for the English sporting anthem[?], "Land of Hope and Glory". It is also often played at college and university graduation ceremonies in the United States.
