Phra Bang

The Phra Bang is the palladium of Laos. It's a 83cm high golden image of Buddha, and was cast in Sri Lanka sometime between the 1st and 9th century. It arrived in Lan Xang in 1353 from Angkor to spread the Theravada Buddhism in the new kingdom.
