Peter Jones

Peter Jones (June 12, 1920 - April 10, 2000) was most noted as an actor, principally for his contributions as the voice of "The Book" on The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and his elegant repartee on the BBC Radio 4 programme, Just a Minute, although he was also a talented scriptwriter.

He was born at Wem[?] in Shropshire.


Peter Jones is also a Liverpool born Australian session drummer, who replaced Paul Hester in Crowded House. After the band split up, he played in Deadstar[?] with Caroline Kennedy[?] and Nick Seymour[?].
