Peter I Island

Peter I Island (in Norwegian Peter Is øy) was discovered on 21 January 1821 by Fabian von Bellingshausen[?]. It was then named after the Russian Czar Peter I. The first successful landing was made on 2 February 1929 by Ola Olstad[?] claiming it for Norway.

The highest point of the island is Lars Christensen Peak[?] measuring 1755 metres.
