Ranunculales

The Ranunculales are an order of flowering plants, which belong among the basal eudicots. Newer systems include the following families:

A few other families may be separated out from the Ranunculaceae. In the older Cronquist system, the Eupteleaceae were excluded, and the Papaveraceae and Fumariaceae (including the Pteridophyllaceae) were treated as a separate order Papaverales.
