Ottawa Lynx

The Ottawa Lynx are a AAA minor league baseball team that compete in the International League. They are located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The Lynx are a farm team of the Baltimore Orioles. Their home stadium is Jetform Park, capacity 10,332.

The Lynx began play in the 1993 season. They have won one International League championship, in 1995. Between 1993 and 2002 they were the farm team for the Montreal Expos, providing the location for development of future Major League Baseball players such as Rondell White[?], Cliff Floyd[?], Matt Stairs, Kirk Rueter[?], and F.P. Santangelo[?]. The Lynx have retired one number, Santangelo's "24".

In recent years (2001, 2002), attendance has been very low, often less than 1000 fans per game, and there has been talk of moving the team to a different city.
