Oswine of Deira

Oswine or Osuine (?-651), was king of Deira in northern England, succeeding Oswald of Bernicia, possibly in 644. Oswine was the son of Osric.

According to Bede, he was murdered by Oswiu at Gilling[?] after refusing to engage in battle.
