Oslo Airport Gardermoen

Oslo Airport Gardermoen is located north of Oslo, and is a modern, international airport with two runways.

IATA code: OSL

In addition to the E6 motorway, the connection to Oslo is via a high speed train service (Flytoget) which requires just over 20 minutes for the journey to Oslos central station (Oslo S).

Gardermoen is located in the municipality of Ullensaker, and was adopted from a WWII airfield. Gardermoen took over as the main Oslo airport on October 8, 1998, when Fornebu airport was closed. The transfer happened overnight, and was a major operation.

Sandefjord Airport is also serving Oslo.
