Fornebu

Fornebu is an area in the municipality of Bærum, Norway.

Fornebu is located close to Oslo, and served as the main airport for Oslo until the evening of October 7, 1998, when it was closed down. The following morning, the new airport at Gardermoen opened.

The area is being developed as a centre for information technology and telecom industry. The new headquarter for Telenor is located in the area.
