Oriana Fallaci

Oriana Fallaci (born 24th July 1929 in Florence) is an Italian journalist and author, who travelled much in Vietnam, Pakistan, and South America. Recently she received much public attention for her open critique of contemporary Islam, which she said is trying to destroy the West, and that Islamists might succeed at subjugating the West and recreating it in their Islamic image. She criticizes intellectuals, especially Europeans, who ignore deep Islamist hatred of the West's intellectual traditions.
