The Orange Prize for Fiction

Launched in 1996 for female writers, the prestigious Orange Prize for Fiction is the United Kingdom's largest annual literary award for a single novel. The winner of the Orange Prize for Fiction receives £30,000, along with a limited edition bronze sculpture called the "Bessie" created by artist Grizel Niven[?], sister of the late actor, David Niven.
