Olivia Newton-John (born September 26, 1948) is a British-born singer of popular music. She was born in Cambridge, England but her family moved to Australia when she was five.
She starred in the highly successful 1978 film version of the musical Grease, alongside John Travolta, but subsequent films have generally been failures (eg Xanadu, Two of a Kind). Her musical career, which dates back to her early childhood, has been very successful.
Her maternal grandfather was Max Born, a famous physicist. Her niece is singer (and entertainment identity) Tottie Goldsmith.
She was married to Matt Latanzi from 1984 to 1995. There was one child from this marriage - Chloe, born 1986.
