Nuclear reprocessing

Nuclear reprocessing separates any usable nuclear fuels (e.g., uranium and plutonium) from fission products[?] and other materials in used reactor fuels. The usable nuclear fuels can then reused in power plants. The fission products can either be sent to a nuclear waste repository[?] or separated further for various industrial and medical uses.
