Northwestern University is recognized both nationally and internationally for the quality of its educational programs at all levels. It is located in Evanston, Illinois.

The school was funded in 1851 and officially opened in 1855.

The school's sports teams are called the Wildcats. The school is the member of the Big Ten Conference.
