Nijefurd

Nijefurd (population: 10,925) is a municipality in the northern Netherlands, in the province of Friesland. The municipality covers an area of 289.17 km² (of which 19.26 km² water).

The municipality of Nijefurd consists the following towns, villages and townships: Hemelum[?], Hindeloopen[?], It Heidenskip[?], Koudum[?], Molkwerum[?], Nijhuizum[?], Stavoren[?], Warns[?], Workum[?].

During summer a ferry for pedestrians and cyclists operates between Stavoren and Enkhuizen.
