Newton Minow

Newton Minow is a former U.S. Federal Communications Commission chairman, who in May of 1961 delivered a presentation critical of television's future, the so-called "Wasteland Speech".

He is one of the most recent presidents of The Carnegie Foundation, who are one of PBS' most influential sponsors, along with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
