Network administration

In telecommunication, a network administration is a group of network management functions that (a) provide support services, (b) ensure that the network is used efficiently, and (c) ensure prescribed service-quality objectives are met.

Note: Network administration may include activities such as network address assignment, assignment of routing protocols and routing table configuration, and directory service configuration.
